TWO TRUTHS & A LIE:  Adrienne Knack and Tom Coates presented this week.
Adrienne Knack had an injury theme.
1. When she was 23 years old she badly injured her shoulder, requiring extensive surgery.
2. When she was 4 years old she swallowed a blue marble.  The marble has never come out to this day (she still checks every day) and is presumably still in her stomach.
3.  When she was 14 years old, she was helping her father with the jet skis.  The trailer with the jet skis backed up, and her father drove over her leg.  Her leg was fractured, and then re-fractured it later playing soccer.
Statement #2 was a lie and Tom Coates guessed it.

Tom Coates
  1.  Once he was in water at night scuba diving with a flashlight.  He was focused on something in the water and when looked around everyone was gone and he was lost in the water.
  2.  Another time Tom out ran the Sheriff on snowmobile.  This occurred on Chilson Road.  It turns out that the Sheriff was coming to investigate Tom (his beer and any other activity he was up to at the time) when the Sheriff got stuck on the snowy road.
  3. Tom was not a great student in school.  One day after class the teacher informed him that he was 200 points from scoring a C grade. So they worked out a deal.  If Tom would perform taxidermy (something he liked) on a hamster the teacher would give him. 200 points.  He agreed and the teacher gave him a frozen hamster to take home.    Tom put the frozen hamster on the heater, where it rolled off into his father’s Stetson hat.  Tom lived up to his end of the bargain and “taxidermied” the hamster.
Statement #1 was a lie, but Adrienne guessed statement #2 was the lie.Next week Tom Janego and Brian Donovan will present.

PROGRAM:  Donna Alberta from Cornerstone Church presented today on the Feed My Starving Children program.  She provided us with her version of Two Truths and a Lie.
  1. She was a pastor’s kid and did missionary work with a native Indian tribe
  2. She was written up in the American Medical Association medical journal when she broke out with a sympathetic allergic rash when her twin sister received medication.
  3. She almost got into a fight with Howard Cosell in an elevator.
It turns out that statement #1 is not true.  She was never a child of a pastor, but she is the wife of a pastor now.  As for Howard Cosell, she was pregnant and the time and Howard was smoking a stinky cigar in a closed elevator.

She introduced Rotarians to the Feed My Starving Children program that is being sponsored by Cornerstone Church.  The program is in more than 70 countries and it sole mission is to eliminate starvation.  On Oct. 24th & 25th Cornerstone Church will be filled with 1,300 volunteers ( 260 volunteers per two hour shift, with five shifts per day) needed to pack meals that provide essential nutrients to allow children to function and thrive.   The program: 1. Creates the perfect nutritious meal for starving children; 2. Brings people together to make mobile packs; and 3. Partners with people in other countries to distribute packs.

Each pack provides for six meals (add boiling water), at a cost of 22 cents/meal.  This is important as every day 6,200 children die from starvation in the world.

The bucket was passed to donate to the Feed My Starving Children program.  If you would like to donate go to www.livingstoncares.com to donate.

50/50 Drawing:  Tom Zizka’s ticket pulled and he had  Peggi Bourke picked for him.  She did pick the Ace of Spades for Tom.
