PROGRAM:
No program was scheduled for today, but Mike and Jane McManus gave a brief update of their time in South Korea attending the annual Rotary International Convention. Flying non-stop to Korea, they arrived in a densely-populated nation, not once seeing a single-family home. It was very clean and they enjoyed…or at least tried…authentic cuisine. A significant moment was when 20,000 Rotarian, wearing their country colors, participated in a walk for peace. The opening ceremonies featured flags of 230 nations where there is a Rotary. Mike and Jane encouraged Rotarians to attend an international convention. It will be easier than ever the next two years, as 2017 is in Atlanta and 2018 is in Toronto. A more detailed program will be presented at a later date.
50-50. Mike McManus, Tom Zizka and Joe Bottum all failed to find the Ace of Spades and claim the 385 dollar pot.
