NOTE - June 30th is President’s night.  It will be held at Mt. Brighton, Ore Creek Restaurant at 6:00 pm. Therefore there will be no afternoon Rotary meeting on June 30th.  Please send in regrets ONLY.
 
Raffle tickets for a 2016 Mustang GTE Convertible are being sold to support the March of Dimes.  See Bill Anderson if you want to purchase a ticket.
 
Nancy Johnson shared a story about Peggi Mintz in an Ann Arbor newspaper.
 
The Top of the Mountain Dash or Crash is being promoted in the Argus and in the Marketeer. This Saturday, 8 am members will be working at Mt. Brighton on some obstacles.  Those who wish to dine with Mark Marker and have breakfast, meet him at Leo’s at 7:00 am.  Absopure has donated 38 cases of water for the event.
 
Building obstacles –we are way ahead of schedule.  Members are needed to build this Saturday, June 6th from 8 am – noon.  The build includes assembly of the tube bridge.  Come watch Tom Coates and Mark Cook test the car washing machine.  Also, the finish tower needs to be completed by hanging swimming pool noodles from it.  There will be no more builds until Friday, June 19th.  We will be able to take over golf course at 4 pm to begin setting up.  On June 19th there will be six installation teams to build identified projects.  After the set is complete all will celebrate with pizza and adult beverages, and a chance to run the course.  Bring clean clothes.
 
On Saturday, June 20th we are asking Rotarians show up at 9 am.  The first wave of runners starts at 2:00 pm.  After last run (6pm), we will be following the runners and start taking down obstacles.  The band will play until 10 pm.
 
Currently there are 275 runners signed up.  Brighton Rotary tent will be set up for Melanie Moses and Jane McManus at Mt. Brighton. 
 
All volunteers for Saturday, June 20th will park in the gravel pit across from Mt. Brighton.  Carol Bullion-Mincy’s step-daughter will be singing the National Anthem at the Dash or Crash.
 
Next week is the last board meeting for our President, Peggi Mintz.  All are welcome to attend this or any board meeting.
 
Stan Schafer (please note it is his birthday next week) reminded everyone that workers are needed at Gleaners this Saturday (June 6th).  If you can volunteer contact Stan.
 
Karen Gill announced that Coldwell Banker awarded Rachele Evers the Rookie of the Year award.  Way to go Rachele.  You are truly a wonder woman.
 
Melanie Moses will not be here next week as she will be hiking the Appalachian Mountains.
 
Judge Hatty was in farmer’s market this weekend and Mike Bourke and Peggi Mintz noticed he was no wearing his Top of the Mountain Dash or Crash tee shirt.  Mike Hatty paid a fine.
 
100 Women meeting will be held tonight.  The after-glow event will be held at Main Crossing, who will donate 20% of revenues to 100 Women.  Thanks Stan.

PROGRAM:  Since we did not have a formal meeting, we played “Guess the Member” by trying to guest Rotary members by listening to clues.  Members identified were Piet Lindhout, Jason Huntley, Fred Arthur, Mike Archinal, and Cathy Riesterer.
 
50/50 Progressive Drawing:  Melanie Moses and Ron Cleveland were unsuccessful in locating the Ace of Spades, but Cathy Riesterer did find the Ace of Spade.  Congratulations Cathy.
