Hope to see you there!

News from our District Governor is that it looks like both the Interact Club and our Brighton Rotary will receive Presidential Awards at the upcoming district conference!

Bill Gartley shared that members of the Interact Club will be meeting with Milford students to try and start an Interact Club at Milford High School.

Both the Brighton and Howell Interact Clubs are working with Cinderella’s Closet to benefit LACASA through the donation of gently-used gowns and party dresses for the prom season.  The sale begins April 11th, and if any Rotarians can help with dress donations or support, please contact Bill Gartley to reach members of the Interact committee.

Yo Raiders!  We have a 2-landing, 2-ramp-section build in Fowlerville on Saturday (4/6).  Contact Brian Donovan or Piet Lindhout if you can help.  Also, the Labor of Love April 27th ramp build needs each participant to register at www.LaborofLoveLivingston.com for the Brighton Rotary Team led by Piet Lindhout.  Also, District Governor Don Riddel wants a presentation on the Raiders at the district conference—George Moses will organize.  Thank you!

Anderson-McGregor Scholarship applications are due on Wednesday, April 10th at the BHS Counseling Office.  Please alert graduating seniors of this opportunity to receive scholarship funds to support their Michigan-based continued education.  Applications are available at www.Brighton Rotary.com or at the Brighton High School Scholarship page.

Jane McManus alerted members to the Four-Way Test Essay Contest for Livingston County 7th and 8th graders sponsored by the Brighton Sunrise, Fowlerville & Hartland Rotary Clubs.  Those interested in helping with this should contact Jane.

Peggi Mintz reminded the Club that United Bank & Trust will donate $1200 to one nonprofit in Livingston County based upon internet voting. Nominate your favorite nonprofit at www.ubat.com/120 or learn more at www.ubat.com/120info.  If you choose to vote for LACASA, for example you will need to include its website address, e.g. www.lacasacenter.org.
