We’ve come a long way since the beginning of the year and with your time, energy and passion for improving the world, we’ve had a wonderful Rotary year doing what Rotarians do best in following our motto, “Service above Self!” At our last changeover meeting, we celebrated our District accomplishments and reflected how far we have come under Michael’s leadership of Rotary Passport Club South! We officially welcomed new members, Sim Asaba, Sara Padonou and John Westcott to join our Rotary Family and we will soon kick off the new year with Jananee as possibly the youngest Rotary President in the world!

Social Isolation Think Tank (SITT)

(Passport Members include; Dalia Alajrami, Norma Gamble, Bettie Baer, John Westcott, Lina Sakkab, Marco Albenese, Ana Mendez)

A message from John Westcott- "A few months ago the Passport South Rotary Club took on one of the Think Tank challenges proposed by Community Service D7080. They looked at where Rotarians could help the many people who suffer from social isolation. Obviously, the elderly come first to mind. But, equally important are the young who also face the problems of social isolation. One of the biggest challenges was to find the people that most needed the help. Then came COVID-19. There is a certain irony. It is now not just the elderly and the young who are at risk of social isolation.  It's just about everybody. If working to improve the lives of those suffering with isolation before was important... it is now crucial."

SITT Project 1: (on hold) - in this partnership with the Oakville Chamber Orchestra, and Acclaim Health, SITT is inviting and accompanying seniors and their caregivers to concerts throughout the year.
