Rotary International President, Ian Risely has challenged all Rotarians to plant one tree during the 2017-2018 year.  This would be an amazing 1.2 Million trees worldwide!

We have accepted the challenge! Our club, along with the Rotary Club of Burlington North, will host a tree planting day on April 22nd at 12noon, at Mountainside Park in Burlington.  This is Earth Day, a day to give back to nature and our planet.  Rotarians all across the District will be planting trees this same weekend!

Join us as we plant 128 trees, 113 seedlings, and 15 15-gallon trees in collaboration with the City of Burlington.

The City will provide a number of shovels, the trees, mulch, and mark out the locations of the trees.  All we have to do is plant them!

Bring partners, friends, children, and grandchildren to enjoy a wonderful day of service to our community, a day of giving back to our planet, and fellowship with Rotarians.

Please contact Anand to sign up! The more the merrier!

Did I mention that there will be tee shirts for those who sign up? Yes, a lovely Rotary tee shirt (District 7080) that will be a momento of the day, and will identify you to other District Rotarians as someone who helped plant trees!
