Susan Messinger (right) from the Plymouth Area Community Closet spoke about their various programs, especially their annual Christmas Food Baskets which serve 250 families in the area.  This year, because of funding challenges for this program, they are reaching out to the community inviting businesses and individuals to sponsor a basket.  The cost of a basket is $44.  Susan also mentioned that on December 7th and 8th they can use volunteers to pack the baskets and then help deliver them on Saturday, December 8th.  To see her entire presentation, please go to our Facebook Page. President Sara thanked everyone who was able to attended our Club Visioning Session on Monday evening for all their inspirational and creative work.

Rotary LEADS (Leadership, Engagement and Development Seminar) is the new name for our District Training event which is being held on Saturday, November 10th at Northern Vermont University, Lyndonville. The change of name indicates a change of emphasis to include all Rotarians in increasing their skills and competencies in making our Clubs more vital and effective.   This means it's being designed for all of us!  You can register by going to the District Website: www.rotary7850.org.

On Tuesday evening, October 9th there will be a meeting at The Silver Center regarding the Plymouth Area Cultural Plan beginning at 6:30pm.  Sara encouraged us to attend and share our ideas and opinions.

Paul gave us an update on our Pennysale preparations.  Documents are on the website and a schedule for street ticket sales should be up in the next day or so.  Individual member ticket packets and posters were distributed.  Thanks to Susan for help in getting the tickets and posters printed up and to Ken for organizing our Grand Prizes.  Our Advertising Banner set-up will be on Saturday morning, October 13th.  Gather at The Common Man at 8am for a breakfast buffet (thank you, Alex) and then will set our teams and head out at 8:30am.  Again, set-up for the Penney sale will be at PRHS on Tuesday, Oct. 16th (have your prizes then if at all possible!) for the event on Saturday, Nov. 3rd.
