Eight Rotarians participated in a service project at Salt Hill Pub in Lebanon Thursday evening. We had a choice of writing letter/notes to residents in nursing home in the Upper Valley, to active military personnel; and to children in El Paso who have been impacted by the mass shooting at Walmart. Here are a few pictures from this event.

Former Lebanon Rotarian Katherine Biddle Austin died on August 26, 2019.
From her obituary:
Katherine Biddle Austin (Kathie), a longtime resident of the Upper Valley, died on August 26, 2019 after celebrating her 89thbirthday. She passed away in Wheelock Terrace, Hanover, NH, her home for the last three years, with her three daughters, Elizabeth (Hanover, NH & Paris), Vicky (Castro Valley, CA), and Jeannie (Cambridge, MA) at her bedside.
As a clinical psychologist in Chicago, Kathie worked in the county mental health hospital, then in community mental health services and finally in private practice. She had a diverse set of interesting clients, particularly young women. Once she was in private practice, she had more time for her other interests. Kathie became one of the first women who was asked to join Rotary International after the US Supreme Court ruled in May 1987, that Rotary could no longer exclude women. Through Rotary in Highland Park and Lebanon, NH, Kathie was involved in efforts of small business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service to others locally and internationally.

Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on October 12, 2019, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
PART I, II, III and Graduate Courses
RLI seeks to provide quality education on Rotary topics. This educational experience will benefit club members who are new to Rotary, and experienced members who want to enhance their knowledge about Rotary. The goal is to heighten your ability to contribute to ideals of Rotary service.
