Fish Like Me
by Jamie Sumner (Author), Devon Holzwarth (Illustrator)
“A gorgeous celebration of swimming, disability, and imagination.” —Kirkus Reviews (starred review)
In the spirit of Eyes That Kiss in the Corners and I Talk Like a River, this lyrical picture book from acclaimed author Jamie Sumner tells the story of a child in swim therapy and celebrates the ways differently abled bodies can move in the water.
Under here, there is no top or bottom, no left or right— only fields of water to wander in as topsy-turvy as I like.
Underwater, everything looks different—and every body moves differently, too. During swim therapy, a child discovers he can be anything: a catfish, a seahorse, a starfish cartwheeling across the universe. He finds the magic of moving in wholly new ways, just like he does on land in his trusty wheelchair.

NOVEMBER IS ROTARY FOUNDATION MONTH
It is the month where we give money to the ANNUAL FUNDof the Rotary Foundation.
What is the Annual Fund? These are the funds that The Rotary Foundation shares with our Rotary District. Approximately 50% of the funds come back to our District 7850 to be used by our clubs to help with our local and global projects. Most Rotarians have given $100.00 in previous years. Some have given a lot more.
If you are able and willing to contribute to this campaign, please make your check out to The Rotary Foundation and give it to Ron Bedell at a meeting or mail it to him at 35 Lily Lane, West Lebanon, NH 03784-1052
All contributions are very much appreciated.
From Past Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair, Brenda Cressey,
The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Funds are what make Rotary International more than just an association of Rotary clubs. These funds, powered by your gifts, continue to allow us to share our resources, work together, and take our work to a higher level.
Note: Donations to Polio Plus, specific Global Grants and the specific areas of focus do not
come back to the district.
