If you have not attended our in person meetings at the Harvest Hill or the Woodlands, you will need to present your Vaccination Record Card at the door, proving that you are fully vaccinated.
Once again temperatures will be taken for all to assure that you don’t have a fever.
-A clear photograph of your Card, on paper or on your cell phone, will suffice.
-Cindy will have a list of members who attended the August 12 meeting to check off those who have already presented their vaccination card. If you aren’t on the list, you must present your verification of vaccination.
-Everyone attending the meeting will have their temperature taken.
Please plan to arrive between 11:45 and 12:00.
-If you feel unwell, in any way, please do not attend. COVID symptoms can be anything from: Runny nose is the most frequent symptom, with a sore throat and upper respiratory symptoms also common; nausea to headache to fever to loss of sense of smell.
Our 5th Thursday meeting was a social meeting at SNAX, a newer restaurant in Lebanon. They reserved the bar area just for us. We enjoyed a variety of items from the menu. Our selections included: Walking Tacos, Sticky Shrimp, Beer Cheddar Soup with Pretzels, Tomato Jam Burger, Backyard Burger, Lettuce wraps, Cali Chick, and a Cubano. We shared good conversation about our successful Brew Fest and a variety of other topics. A good time was had by all. Those present said we should do this again. Now I just wish we I had remembered to take a photo.
The following members were at SNAX:
Marilyn Bedell
Ron Bedell
Dean Cashman
Hank Clarke
Jim Damren
Ed Friedman
Joy Gobin
Ahmad Haidari
JoAnn Lemieux
Angela Nelson
Bruce Pacht
Cal Wolfe
John Yacavone
Several members sent their regrets as work demands kept them away. A few who said they would be there, did not come...thus I am hoping you all are all OK. We missed seeing you.
Dear Marilyn, Here are 3 more pictures from the Mascoma River Cleanup now 8 days ago. These were taken by me at the end of the rail trail just upstream from where the river goes under the Terry Dudley bridge and show the Riley family,Bruce James and Shaun Mulholland.

Rotary International News
POLIO NEWS, September 2021
Dear polio eradication supporter,
During last week’s United Nations General Assembly meeting, the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), represented by Rotary International, proudly co-sponsored an event promoting gender equality across global health efforts.
Building on the GPEI’s commitments made at the Generation Equality Forum earlier this year, this event called for governments and global health organizations to continue working to lower genderrelated barriers across all sectors of the health world. The GPEI would like to thank His Excellency Mr Franz Fayot (Minister of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, Luxembourg) for recognizing the programme’s commitments to ending polio and empowering women.
Women have long been at the forefront of the global effort to reach all children with polio vaccines, and the GPEI’s new strategy, “Delivering on a Promise”, strives to acknowledge their impact and support their crucial work.
On 24 October 2021, the GPEI is pleased to be celebrating World Polio Day by recognizing that promise and the future that it holds. Please join us in reflecting on the progress made since the GPEI’s inception in 1988 – billions of polio vaccines delivered to children worldwide and countless cases of paralysis averted – while staying cognizant of the work that lays ahead to achieve a polio-free world.
