Tyler was born in Trenton, NJ, which was about 10 minutes from his parent’s home in Yardley, PA.They moved to Sandwich, MA, where he attended grade school, and then they moved to Worchester, MA.Here, he attended Middle School and High School.He played Lacrosse, and this led him to seek a sports management degree from Anna Maria College.
He spent volunteer time in Jamaica coaching 200 Jamaican youth and high school students.
He held a variety of seasonal jobs including being a ski instructor.He worked in hospitality. He was a bartender at Applebee’s in West Lebanon. He grew tired of working many late evening getting home after 1 AM.
Tyler then accepted a full-time position with Global Rescue in Lebanon, working in sales. He shared that while there he learned a lot about operations and working with customers and fellow staff members. He was there for 5 years prior to accepting his current position with Casella
Before telling us about his current position, he let us know that a friend encouraged him to travel with him to Colby-Sawyer College.The pitch was that his friend’s girlfriend had 6 roommates.This is where he met his wife, Justine.It sounds like they had a whirlwind romance.They have now lived in Lebanon on Poverty Lane.They love living in Lebanon and plan to be here a long time. He describes their home as “a money pit” …by choice.
Justine and Tyler have a son, Henry who was born prematurely in January 2025.He spent his first few months in the ICN at DHMC.He described this as a stressful time, but so happy that they were so close to the ICN.Henry is now thriving and entering his toddler stage. He has learned how to throw things. Tyler is looking forward to Henry learning more words so they can better understand what he is saying.Tyler’s cellphone is loaded with pictures if you want to see a picture of Henry.
Tyler, Justine and Henry have a “fur baby”, a dog that they adopted from Texas, named Addy.

Brewfest Meeting: The next meeting of the Brewfest committee will be August 11, 2026 at Service Credit Union, Mechanics Street, at 12 noon.
Brewfest Signage: We still have some signs that could be placed in high traffic areas. If you know of a property that would let us post a sign talk to John Yacavone.
Brewfest Volunteers: Help will be needed on Friday, September 4, 2026, to do the initial setup. Then the day of the event, September 5, 2026, we many volunteers. If you know of individuals who could be approached to help, let Bruce Bergeron know ASAP so he can get them on the list. Bruce sent out an email asking if you can help. Please respond YES or NO. Thanks in advance for responding to Bruce Bergeron's email.
Help needed: Friday, September 4th (Set-up) from 2:30 to 5 PM. Saturday, September 5th, all day or 8-10 AM (final set-up); During the event from 10 AM to 4:15 PM; and finally from 4 PM until we have taken down our “stuff” and cleaned up the park.

Community Service:
Lebanon Opera House – Nexus Set-up happened on August 7. From Bruce Bergeron…This morning there were 5 of us there for 2 hours. Steve Grant arrived at noon and will be there for 2 hours. So that is 12 hours. I think there are 1 or 2 folks helping tomorrow as well, but I’m not 100% sure! Thanks to those who helped!

Milkweed Planting with our District Governor Ariel Mondlak on September 3,2026, at about 2:30 PM: Our 2026/2027 District Governor has selected a “protecting the environment” project for all clubs in our district. Her goal is to improve the habitat for Monarch Butterflies in our region. Bruce and Jim are spearheading this project. If you want to help plant milkweed, please hold this date on your calendars.

Flu Vaccine Clinics 2026 – Volunteers Needed

Our flu vaccine clinics have been scheduled for the fall. I value the support the Lebanon Rotary Club has provided over the years and wanted to give you first crack at filling volunteer slots. Please know I have other volunteers to pull from, especially for clinics farther from Lebanon, so I have no expectation the club will fill all the slots or even have a presence at all the clinics. We just appreciate your help where you can give it.

Bharat Pandya, a surgeon from Mumbai and past Rotary International director and Foundation trustee, has been chosen to lead Rotary in 2028-29.

Bharat Pandya, a member of the Rotary Club of Borivli, Mumbai, India, is the selection of the nominating committee for Rotary International president for 2028-29. He will officially become the president-nominee on 15 September if there are no other challenging candidates
After receiving undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Seth G. S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, Pandya practiced as a general and laparoscopic surgeon for 38 years. Among other professional recognitions, he was awarded fellowships by the Association of Surgeons of India and the International College of Surgeons and earned the Borivli Medical Brotherhood’s Outstanding Performance Award. He is a founding member of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India and was a board member and vice chair of Jan Shikshan Sansthan, a government-sponsored vocational training and skill development institute. He received the Mumbai Gaurav (Pride of Mumbai) Award from Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha and the Indian Global Foundation.
Pandya has served as an RI director and treasurer and on numerous committees, among them the Finance Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee. He has served in multiple positions for The Rotary Foundation: trustee, vice chair, Executive Committee chair, and vice chair of the Finance and Stewardship committees. He is currently chair of the RI Programs Committee and vice chair of The Rotary Foundation Programs Committee. He served on the India PolioPlus Committee in 2011-15, during which time India was certified polio-free.
Pandya and his wife, Madhavi, a past district chair of Inner Wheel District 314, are Major Donors and Benefactors. They have two daughters and one granddaughter.
