Happy/Sad Dollars

Ron Michaud shared that his addiction is "talking too much at Rotary".  He also stated someone asked the police to do a wellness check...I must admit I didn't get all the details of what led to this, but he is "FINE".

Ernst Oidtmann is back from his adventures to Germany, Italy and France to be with family.  Both Ernst and Linda got colds while they were away, and although no longer contagious, they still have some symptoms.  They decided that they won't be going to British Columbia as they had originally planned to do for a college reunion for Linda. Part of his family went to Rome, and via them we got greeting from Pop Francis. He described some adventures missing planes, arriving late and advised us to avoid Air France and stick with Lufthansa.

Rich Wallace was treated to a Red Sox game at Fenway by his daughter as an early Father's Day gift. The Red Sox beat the Philly's 8 to 6.

Joy Gobin is here on the last day of her 40 year career as an educator.  She received around of applause!

Ron Bedell gave an update on our Foundation giving.  80% of our members have made a donation.  He hopes the remaining 20% will consider a donation of at least $25 to achieve 100% participation in giving.

Steve and Carolyn Whitman are back from their 60th Cornell graduation anniversary. Carolyn was the reunion chair.  Steve reflected on how much the university has grown and changes. The university now has over 21,000 students (per wikipedia). He then said his garden has gone to "hell"...he is dealing with some breathing issues that are still being sorted out...thus limiting his time in the garden.

Tim Guaraldi let us know he had a blast at the Rolling Stones concert. According the Tim, "they were a rocking".

Raffles

The 2 or 3 Rotary volunteers needed are for One or all the following date:

Collections are 9-Noon in Lebanon, July 14, and Sept 28. I would need 2-3 people to interview attendees and direct them where to go. Shifts can be the full 3 hours or I can do shorter shifts – as you know, the busiest time is the first hour or so.

Listen, Request for Volunteers: Food Pantry Stocking

A few volunteers are needed at the Food Pantry to open bags and stock shelves. Arrive anytime from 9:00 – 4:30, Monday thru Friday for the next 2 weeks. Stay as long as you like. Bags are donated by Price Chopper customers. Contact valerie@listencs.org to notify us of your arrival time. The Food Pantry is located at 60 Hanover St, Lebanon.

🤔 True or false: LISTEN’s Dining Hall is serving up lunch?

True! The LISTEN Dining Hall identified a need for free, accessible lunches in our community, and we’re working hard to meet it.

But we need your help.

Join our crew in the Dining Hall for a few hours any weekday morning to assist with meal prep for these lunches. No cooking experience needed! Just bring your enthusiasm and a pair of comfy, closed-toe shoes. Interested? Check out our Community Dining Hall Volunteer Calendar:
