Special Meeting at Jesse's with the Rotary Club of Hanover with the Rotary Friendship Exchange Team from Alberta Canada
About 20 Rotarians from our club joined about 30 Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Hanover and 11 visiting Rotarians from Alberta, Canada at Jesse's for lunch today.
The program was presented by Rotarian Dwaine Souveny, a member of the Rotary Club of Red Deer Sunrise, Alberta, Canada. He shared information about each of the clubs represented by the 11 member team. He did a great job weaving in the similarities and difference between clubs in Canada and the USA. He inserted slides about various projects their clubs do that mirror ones we do. He thoughtfully selected pictures from our web pages and inserted them into his presentation.

Marion Steiner received club banners from each of the clubs in Alberta.

Memorial Service
Susan Donnelly
On Saturday, October 19th, friends of Susan Donnelly came together to celebrate her life. Rotary was well represented a the service.
Marilyn Bedell, shared the following:
Sue easily made Rotary connections beyond the Upper Valley.
Sue's daughter Jackie wrote in her Obituary,
Rotary let Sue indulge in travel. Though Rotary Friendship exchanges she was able to make friends around the globe.
As I have shared news of Sue’s death with her international Rotary family, I quickly learned that Jackie was correct, her openness and warmth allowed her to make friends and deep personal connections.
This note from a Rotarian in Oregon sums up the many notes I have received, “Thank you so much for sending Susan’s obituary! I have read and re-read it. Sue really was a remarkable person. I don’t know who wrote the Obit but they captured so well Sue’s spirit of community service and love of people.
So I ask you to consider all the memories you have of Sue. You can't see those memories, but you can look at them with your mind's eye; and in the process you begin to look at a completed human life; and then you can put your mental arms around all those memories, and the picture of a life that they form; I am grateful for all that was precious and wonderful about Sue’s life. I will continue miss her a lot.
