Trail Maintenance
From Ernst Oidtmann
Boston Lot Trail Project
Saturday , October 24, 2020 [NOTE DATE CHANGE]
Start Time — 8:30 AM

Ernst Oidtman reported that Ron Bailey the trails maintenance person suggests we move the next clean-up to October 24. We’ll need to make 5-6 “lock bridges” with planks of pine the City will pay for. Need transport from parking lot to the pond and from there up to the trail that circles the lake. Tim Guaraldi says he will use his ATV to get the supplies up. We’ll need keys from the City to open the gates. Please volunteer and let Ernst know if you can help – we need 10-15 people, consider asking friends to join the team. Mules would be welcome too.
Update from Ernest:
Saturday, October 24 – meet at Boston Lot parking area at 8:30 AM rain or shine. Mostly we have to move boards up to the area where they will be placed across mud holes. Richard Wright is a sawmill operator who has done this before – he has boards available. City Hall has enough money to cover 5-6 of these mudholes with 4-6 spikes in each board. Tim Guaraldi will provide a vehicle to pick up the boards; Tim has an ATV with trailer to move the boards. Tim says he also has two grandsons to help. Ernst thinks we need 15-16 persons to do the job. Ron Bailey, a man in his 80s will be there – he’s been working on Lebanon’s trails for 60 years.
