Gift of Adoption of New Hampshire serves families in New Hampshire, as well as families in our neighboring states of Vermont and Maine. The chapter is currently seeking leaders throughout the state to get involved as chapter leaders and help the chapter grow and reach more families.

Board members are responsible for building awareness and raising funds for this rapidly growing, energetic, national, nonprofit dedicated to putting adoption in reach for the millions of children world-wide without a family.  Gift of Adoption inspires adoption by providing grants to qualified parents – giving children without families permanent homes and the chance to thrive.

Our Mission

Our mission is to fill the void that separates child from family – through adoption assistance grants that give vulnerable children a permanent home and the chance to thrive.

We learned that of the 25% of individuals consider adoption; of the 25%, 79% express concerns about all of the obstacles the make adoption hard (regulations, finances and a variety of other issues; Thus only about 2% are successful in making an adoption domestic or international.

This group works with accredited adoption agencies and attorneys nationwide to help support individuals working toward adoption. Their goal is to get 500 kids adopted annually nationwide. Last year the organization helped 365 children and their adoptive parents.

Since the chapter was established they have help 34 children. Their goal is to assist up to 10 children a year. To-date they have given adoption grants totaling $132,600.

One-hundred percent of the money they raise goes to help with adoptions.  We were reminded that you don't have to adopt a child to help give a child a future. They invited us to their next fund raiser on March 29, 2019 at the Enfield Shaker Museum from 6 PM to 8:30 PM.  The theme of the gathering is Toast a Gift of Family. This event will include a wine tasting and silent auction. For more information go to giftofadoption.org/nhwine  There major corporate sponsor is Three Tomatoes. They thanked Three Tomatoes for their support.

During the question and answer period, Ron Michaud told us about a variety of adoptions that have changed the lives of the children who where adopted her in Lebanon.
