Rotary International Paul Harris Recognition in Honor of Paul Coats, Director Lebanon Parks and Recreation

October 22, 2020 – Bruce Bergeron, Jake’s Markets and Deli and member of the Rotary Club of Lebanon, NH, Community Service’s Committee had the honor of presenting a Rotary International Paul Harris Recognition to Paul Coats, Director, Lebanon Parks, and Recreation.
Coats was recognized for the profound difference he has made in our community. He has been a true steward of the parks, athletics and recreation for the residents of Lebanon and most specifically, our city’s youth.
Paul served as a Recreation Coordinator from his arrival in 2001 through 2010 and as the Recreation and Parks Director from 2010 until the present, recently celebrating his 10 year anniversary.
Paul is a tireless worker with a very strong passion for his job. He can be found at events and activities all over the City, and his presence in our community has made a positive impact since his arrival. Recreation is the fuel that keeps Paul Coats going.
Paul is an exceedingly worthy recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow.
Rotary International Paul Harris Recognition in Honor of Joanne Conroy, MD, CEO Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health

September 10, 2020 – Karen Clements, Chief Nursing Officer, Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Lebanon and member of the Rotary Club of Lebanon, NH, had the honor of presenting a Rotary International Paul Harris Recognition on behalf of Club President Ronald J Bedell at the Board of Governors and Senior Leadership Group meeting at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH on September 10, 2020.
Conroy was recognized for her service to the City of Lebanon and the wider service area of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health. During the last several months, Conroy maintained a steadfast, calm, science, and evidenced-based approach to leading the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital, our communities, and the state through the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the early days of the pandemic, Conroy recognized that the priorities of communication, education, effective incident command and leadership visibility would build a foundation of trust with both our staff and the communities served by Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Her firm commitment to the safety of patients and staff were the cornerstones of all decisions made by Conroy and her leadership teams at various facilities across the state of New Hampshire and Vermont.

The club has been serving Lebanon for 98 year. Our members are a cross section of professions and businesses in the Lebanon. We are group of individual who want to give back to our community. Rotary International Paul Harris Fellowship is named for Paul Harris, originally from Wallingford, Vermont, who founded Rotary 115 years ago in Chicago. The Fellowship was established in his honor at the time of his death in 1957 to express appreciation for Paul Harris’s service; and recognize a contribution of US $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation. Every Paul Harris Fellow receives a pin, medallion and a certificate when he or she becomes a Fellow. This identifies the Paul Harris Fellow as an advocate of the Foundation's goals of good will, world peace and international understanding.
