Holiday Meal Program
Our Rotary Club will be doing our annual Holiday Meal Program again this year. For over 15 years, our club has been providing holiday meals to about 30 plus needy families each year.
Nicole Lauren and her staff at JCEO will be working with Maria Alexander at the Senior Citizens Council to compile a list of needy families and senior citizens.
Rotarians who volunteer will be assigned a family and given contact information, family size, etc.
There are two ways to assist in this community service effort:
(Option 1) Purchase a Holiday Meal Card at the Walmart Customer Service desk. You can load the card with whatever denomination you wish. The Holiday Meal Card can only be used for purchasing turkey or ham and other meal items. You can deliver the Holiday Meal Card to your family and they can purchase the food items for their meal. (NOTE: Do Not Purchase a Walmart Gift Card. There are no limitations on what can be purchased.)
(Option 2) You can purchase food items for the family and deliver the food.
(Bob Parks has a suggested shopping list if you choose this option).
JCEO will be providing the list of needy families to us in early December and assignments will be made at that time.
If you are interested in volunteering to adopt one or more families, please contact Bob Parks at (518) 578-8195 or by email at bob.parks2016@gmail.com.
