Fishing Tournament

Our Rotary Fishing Tournament is coming next month.  This event is an awesome way to get to know your fellow Rotarians and have some great fun!! We have several openings at the weigh stations that we are looking to fill.  Please contact Betsy Vicencio directly with the times you are available by Friday, May 6, 2022. 

Here are our current openings:

Headquarters (Plattsburgh Marina):  Saturday, June 4, 2022 7:30am to noon, 11:30am to 4pm

Betsy Vicencio, Weigh Station Commodore

The Fishing Tournament Store is officially open. This year's shirts are red and hats come in navy, gray and hunter green. Shirts and hats are $15 each. You can order by contacting Dana Isabella. Store items will be available at meetings also. Veteran weigh station volunteers are asked to wear shirts they have received in previous years. If you are a new weigh station volunteer please contact Dana Isabella for a shirt for this year's tournament. 

Service Committee

The community service is planning a 3rd annual beautification day at Camp Jericho on Saturday May 14th from 9-2 pm. Camp Jericho- 185 Turdo Road (off of Rand Hill Road) in Altona NY. 
Projects to include- raking, painting, sweeping, cleaning and general pre-season preparations for our 2022 summer camp season. We are also in need of those that chainsaw- with the storms and flooding this winter and spring camp is in need of a lot of TLC.
Many hands make for light work. Please reach out to Justin Ihne if you can make it that day. 

Environmental Committee

A Centennial Park clean up has been scheduled for Saturday May 21 from 10:00am -1:00pm. Please join us for whatever time you have available. For more information reach out to Michelle Medina

Paul Harris Fellowship 

Please take a moment to thank and congratulate this year's Paul Harris Fellows for their commitment to community and Rotary. They will be recognized at the annual Paul Harris Fellowship Dinner on June 16th (more info to come). This year's recipients are:

Hybrid Meetings Return

Our meetings will continue to be held virtually on Zoom and in-person at the MHAB Life Skills Campus Dining Hall.  

Trevor and MHAB staff will serve a buffet lunch for the weekly Rotary meeting. The cost for the buffet (hot meal & soup / salad bar) is $17.00. Dessert and beverage is $6.00. 

NOTE: Everyone attending in person must purchase either the buffet or dessert/beverage to help defer the facility cost. You can prepay online via credit card to speed up the check-in process and help with estimating food via the following link You can also pay by cash, check or card upon arrival.

Rotary Committee Meeting Schedule

Please note: All Committee Meetings will be virtual until further notice. 
Rotary Board Meeting - The next Rotary Board meeting will be Monday, May 16th at noon.  This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 3rd Monday of every month at noon. 
Program Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Monday of every month at noon. The next meeting is June 6th.
Service Committee - The next Service Committee meeting will be Wednesday, June 1st.  This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Wednesday of every month at 11:00am. 
Membership Committee -  This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 11:00am. The next meeting is May 11th. 
Safety Committee - Carol Arnold and Theresa Hayden will be giving weekly safety updates & reminders.  Suggestions and new members are welcome, please contact Carol or Theresa.
Environmental Committee -  This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Thursday of each month at noon. The next meeting is June 2nd.

Food Shelf - You Can Help

The Club is accepting donations to the Rotary Club's Food Shelf program. Please send any amount you can spare via check or credit card.

Zoom Attendance & Makeups

Anne Cutaiar tracks attendance. Please contact her if you do not see yourself on the roster or you were sharing a Zoom connection with someone. You can check your attendance record on Club Runner under the My Attendance tab.  If you watch or listen to a previous weekly meeting  and want to get a makeup, please notify Anne Cutaiar ( via email and include your name, email address, the weekly meeting date you watch and how long you watched/listened.
