A 2017 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe was raffled off on Wednesday, May 30th during the regular weekly Rotary Club of Plattsburgh meeting.  This classic showstopper was won by fellow Rotarian Graham Niles.

Partial proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the replacement of an aging fire safety trailer used by the Clinton County Firefighters’ Association.

Many thanks go out to Lake City Choppers/North End Harley-Davidson for this opportunity!

Each year the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh gives more than $60,000 in community gifts back to high needs projects in the local area. The 20-year-old, 32 foot-long Scotty Fire Safety House trailer is used across the county for face-to-face instruction on many fire safety topics with children and young adults. The trailer features a series of fire safety violations or problems that participants are asked to identify. A mock bedroom in the vehicle can be filled with smoke activating smoke detectors and allowing participants to practice home fire drills and evacuations.

The Rotary Club of Plattsburgh is one of 67 clubs within Rotary District 7040, which encompasses Northern New York in the United States and the provinces of Eastern Ontario and Western QuĂ©bec plus the Nunavut Territory of Canada. The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.
