PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Rotary Club of Plattsburgh has supported local projects throughout Clinton County over the years. This year, the Rotary club has awarded 11 grants to support numerous projects within the area.
- Literacy Volunteers of Clinton County was granted $500 for a new computer to expand their programming.
- Peru Free Library was awarded $500 for a summer art camp.
- The Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York was awarded with $500 to support its Girl Grants program in Clinton County.
- The Plattsburgh YMCA was granted $500 in scholarship funds to provide summer camperships to children in need of financial assistance.
- The Clinton County Historical Association was awarded $500 for a Clinton County women’s suffrage program.
- JCEO (Joint Council for Economic Opportunity) was awarded $500 for its Fostering Komfort program.
- Northern Adirondack Elementary School was granted $400 for its holiday giving tree.
- The Elmore SPCA received $300 to start up a transportation fund to help rescue animals
- The Plattsburgh Robotics team was awarded $300 to start a new program.
- Champlain Valley Voices received $500 in support of its spring concert.
- The Senior Citizens Council of Clinton County was awarded $500 in support of its Senior Scholar Program.
