The Plattsburgh State Art Museum collects, studies, preserves, exhibits, interprets, and publishes original works of art while advancing the academic goals of the college and contributing to the campus climate of the college and the cultural education of the northern New York and southeastern Canadian region. 

Tonya M. Cribb is the Museum Director and is responsible for oversight and management of the university’s permanent art collection, organizing and executing the yearly exhibit schedule, and collaborating with university departments and faculty members to develop resources for use in academic courses.  Tonya earned her BFA in ceramics from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C. and her Master of Arts in museum science from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. This Wednesday, she will discuss the responsibility of academic museums and the future of the Plattsburgh State Art Museum.

The Rotary Club of Plattsburgh continues to hold its weekly meetings via Zoom due to COVID-19 in Clinton County. The link is https://zoom.us/j/216382592. 

Trevor and MHAB staff will serve a buffet lunch for the weekly Rotary meeting.

The cost for the buffet (hot meal & soup / salad bar) is $17.00

Dessert and beverage is $6.00

NOTE: Everyone attending in person must purchase either the buffet or dessert/beverage to help defer the facility cost. You can prepay online via credit card to speed up the check-in process and help with estimating food via the following link rotary.mhabfresh.com You can also pay by cash, check or card upon arrival.

Rotarians from other clubs

Rotarians from other clubs may attend the weekly meetings in person at MHAB or via Zoom. You can pre-register for lunch or pay in person at the door. If you would like to participate via Zoom, please send an email to the Plattburgh Club Secretary  by 9 a.m. Wednesday morning requesting access. Please include your name, email, and Rotary club you regularly attend in your request to attend.

The Membership Committee holds it monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. Committee members will meet via the Rotary Club's ZOOM account. Others wanting to participate should contact Bob Parks or Courtney DeLaura for log-in info.

The Board of Directors will meet Monday, May 23, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. via ZOOM.  Any member of the club can attend a board meeting, and attendance at a board meeting is a requirement for new members advancing from Red to Blue Badge status.

The next Environmental Sustainability Service Committee meeting is usually held on the first Thursday of the month at 12:00 p.m. via Zoom.

The 36th annual Rotary Fishing Classic will be held on beautiful Lake Champlain Friday, June 3 through Noon on Sunday June 5, 2022. This is the oldest fishing event on the lake, the earliest each year and features all cash individual and team prizes. Cash prize amounts are determined by the pool of registration fees – 50 percent goes to the 1st through 5th place winners and the remaining funds raised support charitable community efforts of the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh.
