Weekly Meeting: Champlain Valley Toastmasters

In May 2019, two long-standing organizations, Toastmasters International and Rotary International, formed a unique strategic alliance, drawing from the strength of their many similarities and complementary differences. 

The opportunity for Toastmasters members is primarily to establish fellowship and make new connections, contribute more to communities, and potentially elevate clubs. Rotary members have the opportunity to develop new skills and may ask to visit Toastmasters clubs or receive evaluations. Toastmasters also developed eight educational courses for Rotarians and Rotaractors, available on Rotary International’s Learning Center, which can be accessed by their members in nine languages.

This week, Stanley Ransom, Rotarian and Sargeant-at-Arms in the Champlain Valley Toastmasters Club, along with several other Toastmaster members will talk about the unique pact between the two organizations and benefits to members in both clubs.

Ordering Lunch for Wednesday Meetings -- Quick Link to Order

Trevor and staff serve up three combo lunches for the Rotary meeting each Wednesday.  You also have the option of ordering just dessert and beverage if you have already had an early lunch (or late breakfast). 

• The combo lunches (which include dessert and beverage) are $15.00; just dessert and beverage is $5.00.
• The menu for the upcoming Wednesday meeting will be posted by noon the Friday before.
• Everyone attending should order a lunch or dessert/beverage by midnight Tuesday morning.
• Everyone attending a Rotary meeting in person at MHAB will pay a minimum $5.00 to cover cost for use of the facility even if you show up at the door late. (We will continue to Zoom the meetings from MHAB live for the foreseeable future.)
• Payment is by credit card.

Please Note:  

The Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh has decided that weekly will also be broadcast via Zoom through the end of August. Beginning Sept. 1, 2021, meetings will no longer be broadcast via Zoom.

Rotarians from other clubs

Rotarians from other clubs may attend the meeting in person, but must adhere to the same guidelines listed above including registering and selecting lunch ahead of time. If you would like to participate via ZOOM, please send an email to the Plattburgh Club Secretary  by 9 a.m. Wednesday morning requesting access. Please include your name, email, and Rotary club you regularly attend in your request to attend.
