ZOOM Training Continues
Our ZOOM training will continue this coming Thursday May 2nd (first Thursday in the month). Everyone is welcome including members of the public.
Our intention is to provide training or introduction to those unfamiliar with ZOOM so that they may participate in our online meeting sessions going forward.
If you are interested in attending, bring along a device you would like to use and we will assist in getting you set up and familiar with the application.
Thursty Thursday April 25th
Good evening last night at Craft Breww City, as we gathered for our monthly Thursty Thursday social gathering. We meet there on the last Thursday of the month. Basically a social gathering, chatting about our club's activities and any other business/non-business we decide to discuss.
Last night we were focusing on our planned activities related to membership. Update on those activities will be added here in the near future. We also discussed our ongoing activities related to using Zoom for remote meeting. Quite a useful discussion.
March 21 AM meeting
Our meeting this morning, gave President Elect Lynn Morgan the opportunity to educate us on his recent PETS session last weekend. For Lynn that was another opportunity to be informed on the current status of Rotary in our district and to hear excellent speakers on various subject related to Rotary and the world.
Lynn also talked about his, and therefore our clubs goals for the coming year.
Details about this will be published here shortly.
March 28th 2019 - Thursty Thursday
As we do every last Thursday of every month, we gathered at Craft Breww City in Farmington Hills for refreshments and Rotary discussions.  It is also our opportunity to meet as club board members for ongoing planning.
It was quite a busy night at Craft Breww City, although we had a prime position in the bar area.
Details on the discussions will be added here a little later.
morning meeting...April 4th Update
Our morning meeting on the 4th was as usual at Scramblers at 7:00am.
Update on our meeting...…. Introduction to Zoon went well. We covered the fundamentals. Very powerful system and maybe best of all FREE.
Our meeting on the 4th was an introductory session to allow members and attendees to plan their attendance for our next meeting (18th) when we will be presenting a full training session on the remote communication product called Zoom. For the full session on the 18th we are hoping attendees will bring the equipment they intend to use to join our future Zoom sessions.
As our meetings are open to the public, this would be a great opportunity to learn how this free product can be used to facilitate meetings remotely. Local Rotarians will find it very productive and allow them to participate in our future meeting remotely, from wherever they happen to be.
If you plan to attend the session on the 18th, please bring along a device you would be likely to use to participate in future remote meetings. Other than simple phones, devices could include smart phones, tablets, laptops etc. If might be a little awkward to bring along a desktop computer, but we could handle that too.
