  • July 16th - Our speakers were Mary Sloan and Jeff Lichty. Subject was a humanitarian trip they undertook this year to Kenya. Mary and Jeff will talk about the Rotary eye care trip to Kenya.  Dr. Nelson Edwards of the new M36 club worked with a Rotarian from a Rotary club in Nairobi to make the arrangements.
  • July 23rd - Our speaker today was Gerald Hill - Superintendent of West Bloomfield School District. Gerald's talk was on the subject of Covid-19 and its effect on School Districts, students, parents and staff. Click on link to see the recording of the meeting. 
  • July 30th - Our speaker was Oakland County Health Division Medical Director, Dr. Russell Faust. Dr. Faust will give a 20 minute ‘COVID Update’. He would cover what we are experiencing with current case counts, demographics, preventive actions, and anything else we may have questions about.   • August 6th - Our Speaker was Jane Thornhill of Henry Ford Health Systems. Jane's talk was on the Covid-19 from a medical perspective. Very interesting talk on the inner workings of Henry Ford Health System. Jane also added a short description of a local organization, Hospitality House. Link to view the recording.

  • August 20th - Our speakers (yes multiple) this Thursday  will include a group of specialists from Farmington Public School District including Jennifer Kaminsky Assistant Superintendent for Business Services, Kelly Coffin, Assistant Superintendent for Innovation and Strategic Planning and Margaret Hendrickson, Director of Curriculum and Assessment.       Our presenter on Thursday September 3rd at 8:00am was Jan B. Sherman, CFP with The Benefits Edge, LLC.

      Jan is on Executive Board of Directors for the Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce and is a Regional Director for Local Business Network.

      Mostly he is known as the “Benefits Tamer”. He has been in the insurance industry for 35 years and is a member of the Elite Circle of Champions in the Health Insurance Marketplace because he enrolls over 100 people each year in Marketplace health insurance.

      He will share some insights on a the following topics:

      Transitioning – Many people are being laid off, retiring, or starting their own businesses due to the huge changes we’ve experienced recently. He’ll talk about health insurance and COBRA options and how to make the most cost-effective decisions including, the magic of the marketplace.

      Health Insurance and your automobile PIP coverage – We will all need to make decisions about how to handle our PIP coverage when our auto insurance renews. Jan will give us some perspectives on how to make that decision.  To watch the recording of this meeting click this link- 

  • September 10 - Rachael Rose. How the pandemic has affected the Performing Arts and how they are reinventing themselves to continue making art as well as connecting with their audiences and communities.  This meeting was cancelled due to presenter technical difficulties and will be arranged for a future date. Obviously no recording.
