Rita McClary & the GHHS Musical
 
Rita informed the Club that this Fall's GHHS musical will be Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. There are 32 members in the cast, 30 in the orchestra and 10-12 others doing stage, sound and lighting work. The show runs Thursday, November 17 - Saturday, November 19 (all 3 performances at 7 PM)
Tickets available at SEAT YOURSELF icon on the GHAPS webpage or at the door on the night of each show.
Adults $12, Students or Senior Citizens $10
For wheelchair or handicap seating, please call 850-6160.
 
Three students performed a few songs from the show -- Catherine Jaeger, Ben Lutz & Gavin Tenbroeke .
 
April 2016 was when Rita began working on the selection of the Fall play. Students found out in June. Auditions took place on day 2 of the new school year. Rehearsal started the 2nd week in September.

Announcements - Get Involved!
Dale thanked everyone who helped put up and take down flags for Veteran's Day.
 
A survey was distributed seeking feedback on meals served by Porto Bello.
Ed Kaminski announced that the Whitehall Rotary Club is again selling natural Christmas wreaths for $21. See Ed for details and he will bring them to the Nov. 21 meeting.
 
Annual Jingle Bell Parade Pre and Post Party  - The club will not be participating in the parade this year but has offered marshalling service to the Chamber. Prior to the parade you are invited to get warmed up on December the 3rd @ Consider it Done from 5-9 PM.  Open house format, Ellen will be providing an excellent buffet of soups,  hors d'oeuvres and deserts.  Beverages will be provided as well. Please invite your friends, prospective members [there will be face painting and cookie decorating for children]. We will be asking for a “head count” on the 29th & 29th and your input would be appreciated!
 
Grand Haven Light Night is happening Friday, Nov. 18 from 5 - 8 pm downtown.
 
Bill Redeker announced a new member orientation will take place in early December.

The Be Event will be November 19 at Spring Lake Country Club.  GO to www.thebeevent.com for more details.  Meghan Heritage is spearheading the effort in honor/recognition of a great friend, great Rotarian and great woman, Elizabeth Curtis.
 
Honduran Work Trip - Gail Ringelberg announced the 2017 work trip to Honduras will leave on Feb. 24 and return 10 days later. Last year's trip totaled about $1,700. A deposit of $100 is needed to reserve your space.
 
Bell Ringers Needed - The Salvation Army is in need of bell ringers on Dec 10th from 11:00 - 4:00 at Walmart.  Ringers are needed at both doors.
