Today's presentation was Jeff Parriott with READ Ottawa County.

READ Ottawa started right here in Grand Haven in 2008. Their mission is to strengthen reading and literacy amongst adults within the Ottawa County community. READ Ottawa brings adults needing assistance learning to read with those with a passion to teach and assist. It assists in opening doors to those in needs through literacy.

Family literacy equals stronger communities and literate adults equal prosperity. Literacy is an absolute common denominator is success. Current statistics show that 14% of Ottawa County adults read at or below a third grade reading level. And READ Ottawa strives every day to lower that rate, assisting in the continued success of the Ottawa County residents. The connections and relationships between tutor and students last many years, and provide support, inspiration, and compassion.

Today we honored two great Student's of the Month from Grand Haven High School - Amelia Tysma and Ethan DeWitt

Homeless Prevention Partners Soup for All event is next Thursday, November 20th, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

Change for Change jar is on the back table. Drop your change to assist our Interact Club in granting additional Micro-Loans with the Interact Club of Grand Haven High School. Last week we were able to deliver about $70 to the Interact Club!

At out December 1st meeting, we will be voting on the Jeep Raffle beneficiary for the 2026 Jeep Raffle

We have a new Rotary Spotlight, monthly on WAWL!

This Friday, November 21st from 5pm to 8pm is the annual Light Night at the Downtown and Centertown businesses.

Rotary Club helped cover 7 different kids for the Coat Drive this year. This year's students attend Rosy Mound Elementary School.

Next year's Rotary International is being held in Tiapei Taiwan, Gernot and Kirstin are looking to see if any members are interested in attending. Cost will only be $5000 in total!

Jingle Bell Parade is on December 6th. We're looking for safety volunteers to keep kids safe during the parade.

There will be a Club Picture on December 1st after the meeting. Please wear your Rotary Swag if you have any!

50/50 Raffle: There is $57 in the pot. There was NO joker today. The pot rolls over.
