Chris Hornby, West Michigan Historical Alliance

Two years ago when the museum decided to not continue the Feast of the Strawberry Moon, a local group banded together to form this alliance to continue the Feast.  They reenact artisians and townpeople from 1800 back to provide a living history.  They spin yarn, have a battle,  and show a trading post.  They also have an auction that helps fund their efforts that last year and last year they made about $1000.

This year the feast is June 9 and 10 at Harbor Island and it's only $5 a person or $15 a family. To help volunteer, please visit www.feastofthestrawberrymoon.com and you can sign up online.
