This week, the Grand Haven Rotary Club welcomed our speaker and club member, Greg Coil with the Tri-Cities TMCA.
Greg gave us all a review of the Tri-Cities YMCA Capital Campaign and full location remodel and reconstruction!
Did you know, in 2025:
*Over 12,000 community members participated in Y Programs.
*More than 3,000 kids have participated in lessons, classes, and camps.
*26,000 meals and snacks were served to those in the community that were in need.
The YMCA was formed in 1963 in Grand Haven. in 1976, it opened at its current location, and in 1995, the Y added the preschool and additional gymnasium space. Now, in 2025 and 2026, the capital project renovated over 80% of the existing building. Excitedly, they have added a large number of private changing rooms. There additionally has been work on the former raquetball courts, gymnasiums and basketball courts, gymnastics area, locker rooms, sauna, and childcare centers.
