We welcomed Mayor Bob Monetza as our speaker today. Bob has been a Science Olympiad coach for 26 years. He's also been a board member of the Tri-Cities Historical Museum, been on the Grand Haven Planning Commission and was first elected to City Council in 2009. He served as Mayor from 2019 through 2021 and was re-elected to mayor in 2023.
Some important initiatives recently completed or to be started in the near future are related to Forest Management, Harbor Island Remediation, Economic Development, Chinook Pier, Fulton Street Reconstruction, and passing a Public Safety Millage. Other present actions include working with Lakeshore Advantage, paying off unfunded pension liabilities, dealing with additional dredging, deer management, and deferred capital projects.

Rotary Club helped cover 7 different kids for the Coat Drive this year. This year's students attend Rosy Mound Elementary School.
Next year's Rotary International is being held in Tiapei Taiwan, Gernot and Kirstin are looking to see if any members are interested in attending. Cost will only be $5000 in total!
Jingle Bell Parade is on December 6th. We're looking for safety volunteers to keep kids safe during the parade.
