President Kevin did a recap of the committee meetings last week. The primary take away was to have fewer committee meetings.

33rd year in Grand Haven Public Schools. Started as a student teacher, then teacher, then assistant principal, and now eleven years as Principal at our high school.

Three options for graduation: campus, vocational or cyber school.
Two ways we work to make big feel smaller:
We have three support teams at the high school to more effectively divide work load. Each team has an assistant principal, social worker and counselor assigned to it. The student population is divided based on alphabet.
"Academy" instead of home room. This format supports student for all four years; each has about 20 students; 5 from each grade level.
There are 77 extra-curricular opportunities for students (athletic and non-athletic)
