Domineca Montalvo- Tri Cities Habitat for Humanity
Habitat makes an effort to do a handoff, not give a handout. They do not simply give people houses, but help through the path to ownership.
Domineca is a relatively new ED for Habitat in our area, outlining in our meeting today some of the new homes and recent efforts of theirs in the area. They have been working with Ottawa County to start a new veterans community project through grants. They have a handful of new builds coming online in Muskegon and Ferrysburg.
They are also working to connect kids looking to learn more about the trades to teams to build homes in the area, as well as work in their stores and learn valuable leadership skills. They need $3,000.00 for each student to run this program and their goal is 10 students.

Next year's Rotary International is being held in Tiapei Taiwan, Gernot and Kirstin are looking to see if any members are interested in attending. Cost will only be $5000 in total.

50/50 Raffle: After Gernot cleaned up last week and drew the joker (Polio Plus was his selected beneficiary for the winnings), we had no winners this week and the pot rolls over.
