Kirstin Hintz, Ottawa County Parks Kirstin went to UW Stevens Point and earned a degree in environmental education. Received teaching credentials from GVSU and in 2009 became a naturalist at Hemlock Crossings. She is currently the coordinator for interpretive services for Ottawa County Parks. Recent acquisition of Ottawa Sands added 345 acres, an 80 acre lake and 1 mile of Grand River riverfront. "Step it Up!" is a program to encourage citizens to get out and enjoy their parks. "Coffee with the Birds" is a wintertime Saturday program to observe wildlife and learn about birds.
