Program
This week, the Grand Haven Rotary Club welcomed our speaker, Chris Vallette with Alive on the Lakeshore.

Alive on the Lakeshore is the non-profit organization that runs Unity Christian Music Festival, Unity Christian events, and One in Christ Collaborative.

This year, Unity Christian Music Festival is taking place in Muskegon August 5th through 8th. Roughly 50,000 people attend each year! This is an all ages event, where families can come together and enjoy all that Muskegon and West Michigan have to offer. As a non-profit event, after they pay all of the expenses of the event, any remaining proceeds are donated to over 15 local non-profit partners. So far, there has been over a $1.5 million impact to our local non-profits.

One in Christ Collaborative is a new organization that strives to assist local non-profits with connections to business leaders locally that can assist in support to local non-profits. From HR to training, board education to fund development, they offer a wide variety of assistance and trainings!

Organizationally, they have these main goals:
*Help Non-Profits Organizations and Host Excellent Events
*Provide Affordable Family Friendly Events

Special thanks to John King, Chris Mountford, and Jeremy Swiftney for working Sunday to prepare the boulevard for flag placement on Memorial Day. They were able to bore out and replace old holes, so we will have less issue placing the flags!

John King sent an email out regarding the flag placement for Memorial Day. Keep your eyes peeled for details if you missed it! We will be meeting at 7:00am at Burger King to place them, and again at 7:00pm to pick them up! We also need assistance rolling flags downtown, starting around 6:00pm.

We are currently working on plans in partnership with The Eagles on a Taste of Grand Haven event for September. Working with The Eagles will allow us to create a possible new signature event. More information to follow when more details are known.
