Program: Mulligan's Hollow Ski Bowl

Since opening, Mulligan's Hollow has taught over 35,000 kids to ski!

Mulligan's Hollow is a local non-profit organization that was created in the 1970's to support local families and give an outdoor heartbeat to the community in the winter months. While the City of Grand Haven owns the property, the Mulligan's Hollow leases these properties and is a 501C3 Non-Profit organization. Many in the community are unaware of the distinct separation between the two entities.

Mulligan's Hollow offers lessons as well as rentals for any visitor to try.

Infrastructure Crisis - Underground plumbing and electrical systems are failing. These were installed in the early 1980's. With these infrastructure needs, there is a two phased plan to address these. Phase 1 is all underground plumbing and pumps. This phase is at a cost of $1,033,000. Phase 2 begins in 2027 and replaces snow guns and snow making machinery at a cost of $462,000. They are still looking for additional donations to assist in the matching funds for grants. These upgrades would allow for a longer and more consistent season, where weather related seasons and closures could become far more rare.

We honored Bill Redeker today for 50 years as a Grand Haven Rotarian, and even more amazingly, 50 years of perfect attendance!

NEW TO ROTARY - The first of the 5th Mondays Meetings, which are meetings set to replace the traditional Monday noon meeting with a social after-hours event, is set for Porto Bello on Monday March 30 at 6:00PM. More 5th Mondays will be in August and November (where there are 5 Mondays for the month). More information to come!

Chris Mountford sent an email with details on the Rotary scholarship selection. Stay tuned to your email and please let him know if you'd like to participate in the selection process.

March 6th, Alishia Terrill has 8 tickets for a fundraiser dinner with Homeless Prevention Partners - see Alishia for details.

The District 6290 50/50 raffle has begun. Tickets are $20 each, or 5 for $100. See Tom Manderscheid / Ellen Peters for your ticket!

Change for Change jar is on the back table. Drop your change to assist our Interact Club in granting additional Micro-Loans with the Interact Club of Grand Haven High School.

We have a Rotary Spotlight every month on WAWL.

Next year's Rotary International is being held in Tiapei Taiwan, Gernot and Kirstin are looking to see if any members are interested in attending. Cost will only be $5000 in total.

Save the Date - Friday, March 27th will be a Literacy Summit at Trillium in Spring Lake

The Jeep Raffle is starting. The Grand Haven aquatics center is the beneficiary and the drawing will be this summer. Let's sell 1,000 tickets!
