Students of the Month - Sponsors of today's Students of the Month event were Bill Cansfield and Tom Baetens.
 
Andy Ingall introduced today's speakers, Frank Angers and Anna McWatters. Frank has been active in Model UN, in whihc the GHHS team finished first in a recent state-wide competition. Frank will be attending the U of M Engineering School in the fall. Anna competes in softball, Catalina club, NHS and participates in several area leadership activities.
 
Michael Stowell - Director, Love in Action
 
Michael introduced the leadership team of Love who briefly described the various services offered by Love. Presenting an overview of their divisions with Love were;Laura Liu -- Director of Client Services, Matt Lehr -- Housing Director,
Josh Bytwerk -- Operations Director and head of food collection and distribution, and Jody Buttery - Health & Dental Clinic Director.
 
Stovell spoke on Love's philosophy of a "hand up", not a "hand out." Love in Action is donor funded and operates with a large base of volunteers.

Announcements - Get Involved!
March 27 & 28 will be election days for new officers.
 
Group discussion of where to invest accumulated Happy Dollars will take place at an upcoming meeting.
 
Jay Greer provided a brief review of a PETS (President Elect Training Session) meeting he recently attended.
 
Habitat for Humanity will build its 60th area home this spring. April 21 is the annual fundraiser dinner for Habitat at Trillium. Beth Hanis and Cal Meeusen have tickets if you are interested.
 
Dave Swain provided an educational moment on dentistry and his practice in Grand Haven.
 
Peanut butter and jelly is being collected for local students enrolled in Backpack Blessings. No glass bottles please! Drop off at club meetings, City Hall, and the Chamber.
 
International Peace Conference in Ann Arbor March 31 - April 1.  $70 for the two day event, register on line.
 
Highway Cleanup: Saturday, April 22.  At least 12 volunteers are needed - we meet in the Burger King parking lot on Robbins Road at 8:00 a.m.  Please view the safety video at www.michigan.gov/adoptahighway prior to volunteering.  Contact Stacey Trowbridge if you would like to participate.
 
May 4-6 Rotary district annual conference at Crystal Mountain. Tom Manderscheid is looking for 4 volunteers to help at the conference.  Great speakers are scheduled; sign up today on line.  We are the home club for this district conference.  It is very important
