Our Rotary District Governor, Mark Andresky was the presenter today. He gave a moving and informative presentation regarding his plans over the next year with District 6290. Mark was very supportive our future visions, goals, and priorities. Speaking on goals, the district has goals of increasing diverse service projects, and to find more ways to continue peace building across the world. The district currently has 25% of clubs with no youth programing (like Interact), with a goal over the next 12-18 months of reducing this to 0%. In May of 2026, look for a date where every club in the District will hold a Service Project to honor the Service month of May. We also have a new Polio Plus Chairperson for the District, and we will look to 2026-2027 for creative new plans! Membership is still going to be a main focus, with the district reducing in membership by 2-3% last year. We received kudos with our 9% growth over the year. The District is still looking for a Image & Relations Chair that could assist in continuing this hard work. The District is also looking for a District Treasurer and District Secretary for the Board of Directors as well, if anyone is interested, please reach out to Mark or Dale. Mark has a goal to reach $1,000,000 in Rotary International Funds for the 2025-2026 year. These funds can be used for future service projects on an International level like with water projects for at need communities and the building of libraries across many international communities. Lastly, Mark presented the newest Paul Harris awards to our members: Matt Lator, Larry Burns, and Eric Kaelin. |
