Mr. Moran discussed Financial stability Alice & Housing initiative. ALICE stands for Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed and is the "working poor," citizens that cannot afford to live in our community. In our community a single adult needs to earn $11,000 to live here without support ($9.13 per hour), family (two-incomes) and two children with childcare $23,000 is the poverty level in our community, livable wage for a couple is $53,000. 35% of our county live below the poverty threshold. We need to create a community that provides for this. When enormous parts of the population live like this with no support, the neighborhoods are destroyed.

Water Bottle Fundraiser: The water bottle fundraiser is about 3/4 completed. Still available at $15 each. Money raised goes to buy water filters for Honduras. Please see John Heritage.
Art in the Yard: Jay Greer announced that on Saturday, October 24, the Art in the Yard art event will take place at Baker Lumber.
Rotary Convention: Oct. 30 and 31 is the One Rotary convention will take place. Contact Brook Bisonet if you are interested in attending. Chuck Vonesh will be attending.
Indoor Halloween Trick-or-Treating: Halloween trick-or-treating will take place at Lakeshore Middle School. If you are interested in volunteering please see Pat McGinnis.
