Sarah Kohdol, Junior Achievement Lakeshore Service Office JA uses community volunteers to connect with youth and provide unique perspective on today's workplace and business environment. There are elementary, middles school and high school programs and are in need of Grand Haven volunteers. Volunteers would need to do a one time training session and then do five 45 minute presentations each semester. 20% of US youth will not get diploma on time 49% of US employers recognize a talent shortage 36% of Americans report finding themselves in an out of control financial situation at some point in their lives 91% of millennials report a need for additional entrepreneurial training Students who go through a JA program have 10% higher test scores Our JA is the 19th largest in the United States The JA Company Program is the model many are familiar with, where a group of students develop and market a product.
