Vista Terrace Park Playground Project

Recently, our Club heard from the Sunrise Rotary Club about the $200,000 Vista Terrace Park playground project. They have been working with the City on this for the past six months and have recently purchased playground equipment. It will have a playground that is handicap accessible and a picnic shelter. This is a much needed project near Eastgate Wilbur exit, but, North of the highway. Our club is donating $15,000 out of our major project funds (we set aside $5,000 each year). We would like to make it $20,000. So, you are invited to donate with the Club matching dollar per dollar up to $2,500.  If you donate $100, the Club will donate $100, for a total of $200. Send your check to Rotary Club of Walla Walla, PO Box 418, Walla Walla 99362.

Also, the Sunrise Rotary Club has a buy a brick fundraiser.

  • Purchase a brick or two with your special message, which will be used in the walking path: https://www.bricksrus.com/donorsite/VistaTerracePark

We are excited for this park redevelopment which will enable the community to better enjoy outdoor activities with their children.

Vaccination Clinic - Volunteers Needed Sun. Feb 21 and Mon. Feb 22

Looking for Rotarians to help with the Vaccination Clinic

The Volunteer site is showing new volunteer opportunities for Sunday, February 21st and Monday, February 22nd. As of yesterday, the Sunday event was almost full but there were several spots for the Monday event.

Rotarians at Work - Recent Vaccine Clinics

A dozen of our local Walla Walla Rotarians volunteered again to help make the Walla Walla COVID-19 vaccination event wildly successful. We helped with organizing parking, traffic, provided mobility, escorting patients, registration, and other duties as assigned. Rotarians Bill, Dave, Tom, Esther, Pam Cress, Bob Alexander and more were among the many many volunteers helping. Over 1,500 people received the vaccine Saturday, February 6th.
