“Today, we’d like to welcome a new Paul Harris Fellow for contributions made to the Rotary Foundation. As I hope you know, we honor the founder of Rotary every time we add a new Fellow as we continue to support the Good Work of the Rotary Foundation, the worldwide network of clubs and the individuals who envision the projects and who deliver life-changing benefits to all involved.

Each Paul Harris Fellow demonstrates a commitment and shared purpose with the objectives and mission of the Rotary Foundation to build world understanding and peace.

Larry Krivoshein attended Walla Walla University from 1956-58, then moved back to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, worked on the family farm and then began a career as a funeral director (and embalmer).

He married Jannette Thackeray in 1961 and then moved back to Walla Walla in 1963 to raise the family and work for Groseclose Funeral Home.

He and Jan had two sons and a daughter, (Trevor, Scott and Lori) one of which grew up to be President of this very club.

He bought Bob Groseclose out in 1965 and owned the Funeral Home until 1993. During those years, he had been active in the Shriners and served a term as President of the Exchange Club back in 1975.

Larry first joined Rotary in 1993, then life got busy with other things: he started Russell Creek Winery in 1998. And, for ten years, his wife Jan battled cancer prior to her passing in 2005.

He sold the Winery to Henry Earl Estates in 2013, freeing up the time to again join Rotary and this club and to enjoy the company of his seven grandchildren.

Larry Krivoshein, thank you for your support of the Rotary Foundation, you are a worthy Paul Harris Fellow!”
