Happy New Year! As the calendar turns to a new year, we’re presented with a moment of reflection and renewal. It’s a time to look back at our accomplishments and challenges while setting our sights on the opportunities ahead. For the Comstock Park Rotary Club, this transition is the perfect chance to revisit our committee goals and reignite our passion for service.

Each of our committees play a vital role in fulfilling Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.” Whether it’s spearheading community projects, enhancing our public image, expanding our global outreach, or strengthening club membership, every effort contributes to making a lasting impact. The reality is that the goals set at the beginning of a Rotary year can sometimes be overshadowed by the business of life. January is the ideal time to pause, assess progress, and realign our plans with the priorities we have set.

Revisiting goals isn’t just about accountability; it’s about fostering creativity and adaptability. Are there new opportunities that align with our goals? Are there emerging needs we should address? Perhaps there’s a fresh perspective from our new members who are eager to contribute their talents. By reassessing our objectives, we not only stay relevant but also remain energized in our work.

Let’s use this month to schedule committee check-ins, celebrate progress, and refine action plans. There will be time set aside for committees to meet during the Club Assembly on January 16th. In the meantime, consider inviting feedback from members or even the community to ensure our initiatives continue to resonate.

As we embrace 2025, let’s reaffirm our commitment to making a difference together. The new year brings not only a fresh start but also a reminder of the incredible potential we hold as Rotarians.
