It's November already. As a club we have so many reasons to be thankful. We have a nice place to meet, good food to eat and great people to visit. I am very thankful for those who participated in the Westgate Park creek clean up last month. We are all thankful that Frank Vietze wasn't hurt worse than muscle pulls.
We have a good Rotary Family. Alex Arends and I had an opportunity to attend the "Back to Basics" training offered by District 6290. We both came away with much knowledge and renewed excitement. There will be more opportunities to go to training in the future. It is well worth your time. The club will pay your registration fee.
I love Rotary and each of you. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and once again thanks for all you do.

Here are the Committees and the members on each at this time. Please note that all committees will be meeting together on this Thursday to continue planning. We need to formalize plans, share them, and work together on projects or goals as needed.The Projects committee is working on bell ringing (Rick) for December. Feeding America will be November 29. Feeding America is inside work, fun and it is an amazing place.

SANTA CLAUS GIRLS TRAINEE NEEDED
Nancy Mulder, is seeking a volunteer to work with her on organization of the Santa Claus Girls delivery for our Club. This person would then be familiar with the process & carry it on in 2019. The routes are all established and you just need to match the gift request address to the route. This requires a few hours on Thursday, Dec. 20.
On Friday (21st), the packages are all delivered in garbage bags to the Alpine Township Hall in the meeting room. We need 2 or 3 people then to sort them into the prearranged routes. This takes about 1 hour. On Saturday, (22nd) members of our club and a few other volunteers will come to the West Entrance of the Township Hall at 9 a.m., pick up the packages for a specific route, and deliver them to the address on each bag. It is easier to deliver if you have 2 people in the car - one to drive and the other to direct and take the package to the door. We usually need about 10 or 12 cars. Nancy will provide instructions, in the event that no one is there to receive the package. The resident is supposed to be there.
