As we approach the final month of this Rotary year, it’s a perfect time to reflect on one of our club’s core goals: every Rotarian participating in at least one service project each year. Service is at the heart of Rotary, and it’s through these hands-on experiences that we strengthen our community and deepen our connections with each other.

If you haven’t yet had the chance to lend a hand this year, you’re in luck—there’s still a fantastic opportunity right around the corner. Our annual Rotary Chicken BBQ is set for Thursday, June 12th, and we need all hands on deck! This beloved tradition is not only a major fundraiser, but also a high-visibility event that showcases our club’s presence in the community.

Whether you’ve volunteered at the BBQ before or are considering it for the first time, there are roles for everyone. From morning setup to grilling, serving food, greeting guests, and final cleanup, every task is essential—and every Rotarian helps us reach our goal of 100% member participation in service.

Participating in the Chicken BBQ is about more than just cooking and serving—it’s about camaraderie, shared purpose, and the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping to make a difference. For newer members, it’s also a great way to get to know fellow Rotarians outside of our weekly meetings.
