April is Maternal and Child Health Month. Many mothers risk their lives every day giving birth each year while millions of children die from preventable causes. Over 7 million children up to the age of five die each year from poor health including malnutrition and lack of sanitation. Rotary works to reduce the death rate by providing immunization and antibiotics to babies and access to medical services while also supporting trained health care providers.
"Every child deserves a chance at a life filled with love, laughter, friends and family.” Marlo Thomas
