On October 25th, our club will host a Visioning Session facilitated by District 6290’s experienced vision facilitation team. This will be a unique opportunity for every member to help chart the club’s future and to ensure that our goals are not just hopeful dreams, but actionable plans.

What is Vision Facilitation?
Vision Facilitation is a structured process in which district-level facilitators lead a highly interactive session with club members, guiding them to imagine the club’s ideal future and then develop three-year goals. During the session, participants share ideas, vote to prioritize goals, and then create initial action plans.

Why this matters for our club
A visioning session gives everyone a voice. It ensures that our leadership – past, present, and future – are aligned and that the goals reflect what members care about most. Rather than relying on ad-hoc planning, we deliberately choose where to invest our energy in the years ahead.

Data from the International Vision Facilitation Council shows that clubs engaging in visioning are:

• 4× more likely to increase membership 

• Up to 10× more likely to be recognized by the District for meeting district goals

• 2-3× more likely to grow their giving to The Rotary Foundation

These outcomes speak to the power of intentional planning and shared buy-in.

How you can prepare and what to expect
Complete the pre-visioning survey by this Friday. A link to the survey was emailed to you last week. Before the session, take a moment to reflect: What would you like our club to look like in three years? What projects or causes energize you most? What constraints or challenges must we face? On October 25th, come ready to dream, listen, and vote. 

Your participation is critical; not just as a voice in the room, but as someone who will help carry these goals into reality. The session is only the beginning. The momentum, accountability, and shared clarity we build will guide the club forward.
