We all take many things for granted. It is not until we are unable to participate in an activity, do things you normally do, or find an item/product you need, that you really appreciate what we usually take for granted. Think of the last time you lost power at your home. How annoyed and frustrated were you? Or did you just make the best of a bad situation.
For me I am always at my best when I am busy. This past month, I was limited in being able to do normal daily functions and it brings a whole new perspective. My point, here, is let’s not forget to be thankful for what we have. All of us are great at helping others, for assisting in things that make life easier, or healthier. Thank you, for not losing focus on the basic needs of others.
This month, at our first meeting (Sept. 2), we can conduct normal Rotary business. Soon we will be welcoming some new members. Hurray! At our second meeting (Sept. 16), I am hoping that we will have a guest speaker. I’m seeking any ideas for an October project? I will see all of you on Thursday.
P.S. We will discuss a time for a Board meeting in September.

2021 BBQ IS SUCCESSFUL!
The BBQ profit, still an estimate, is $4043. We sold out of ribs by 2 p.m., chicken at 3:30, and sausage by 4 p.m. Seven hundred and fourteen (714) dinners were served!! Thirty (30) volunteers made this day possible! We thank each and every one who participated. The community really turned out. Christy Nowak, Treasurer
Thank you to Christy Nowak and Diane Van Epps who co-chaired this event and all others who helped plan, cook, serve, clean up or promote it..
