One of the greatest strengths of the Comstock Park Rotary Club is our willingness to turn compassion into action. Service above self is not simply a motto; it is who we are. In the weeks ahead, we have a meaningful opportunity to live that commitment in a very tangible way.
Our Club will be hosting an upcoming service event that depends on volunteers to ensure its success. The Senior Prom is an event designed to bring people together and strengthen community connections. It promises to be both impactful and rewarding for everyone involved.
This year’s Senior Prom is entitled “Aloha Beach Bingo” and will be held at Comstock Park High School on Thursday, April 16th from 3:30-5:30 PM. There are opportunities for members to assist with set-up, greet participants, help coordinate activities, and support clean-up efforts. Whether you are able to give an hour or volunteer for the duration of the event, your presence will make a difference. Events like this are not successful without dedicated volunteers, and this event is no exception.
Beyond the immediate service provided, our participation sends a powerful message. It demonstrates that Rotary is visible, engaged, and invested in the well-being of our senior neighbors. It strengthens our partnerships and reminds the broader community that the Comstock Park Rotary Club is committed to action, not just words.

Longtime former Comstock Park Rotarian, Ed Hood, spoke at the February 5th Club Assembly.
Ed reminisced about his connection to our Club, which began as a little league baseball player on the team that was sponsored by the Comstock Park Rotary Club. Ed shared many fond memories of his time with our club and his involvement with the creation of the Comstock Park Downtown Development Authority.
Dan Nowak presented to our Club at the February 19th Club Assembly. Dan highlighted a draft of our Club's Statement of Purpose and action plan, both of which are outcomes of our club's participation in the visioning facilitation that was provided by Rotary District 6290.
March 5th's speaker will be Hannah Lewis. She is the Kent District Library Community Engagement Librarian. She will be speaking about library resources.
