As we approach the end of winter and I can see a little grass in my front yard, I have thoughts of "Done in a Day projects". I know we will be going back to Feeding America at the end of March, but nothing beats doing some work outdoors-fresh air and good deeds. Let's think about a project in the community that will display our wishes for a safe beautiful neighborhood. I will reach out to the Kent County Parks Department about the railroad house a Dwight-Lydell Park. It would be good to also do something else. If you think of anything, please share.
The Board of Directors meets March 3 at 11 a.m. at the Alpine Township Hall. Remember, all members are welcome. On committees, we have the committee signups thus far and specific jobs within those committees need to be determined. If you have a special interest within your committee, please let us know. If you have not signed up for a committee, please see Sharon when you arrive this week at the Swan.

Regarding the Bar-be-ques, Christy and I struck out with finding a vendor to precook the meat. We are still looking into other options and vendors. If you aware of a possibility, call us.
One more thing, it is that time of year where we get periods of thawing and then melted snow starts freezing toward evening. Please be careful. Watch for the black ice when you are walking and driving. Out "fall" is now from a higher height compared to when we fell all the time as toddlers. See you Thursday. Greg Madura, President
