December is Rotary’s Disease Prevention and Treatment (DPT) month and the sixth month of the Rotary Year. DPT is one of Rotary’s Seven Area’s of Focus (See Wheel Below). Rotary is dedicated to fighting and preventing disease throughout the world. Disease and illness result in pain and injury which can further result in severe illness potentially causing loss of employment and income. Rotary and Rotarians are committed to helping people live healthier lives. As you know, Polio Eradication continues to be our signature project. Please consider donating to this cause! We raised $10 from 2 Rotarians for our October Purple Pinky Month. Please consider making a donation through Rotary International or at a club meeting.
We look forward to ringing the bell to raise money again this year for the Salvation Army at Walmart’s North Entrance on Alpine Avenue on December 14th! Please sign up at our meeting on December 7th or let Christy Nowak know if you would like to be added to the list. This year at our December 21st meeting at Mill Creek Tavern, we will have our business meeting and a special Holiday lunch at no additional cost to our members. I look forward to seeing you all then! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
