I would like to use some of this column to talk about our dear friend Frank. When I joined this club, Frank was one of the first to welcome me. He always gives me encouragement. I am glad he is my friend. He has done a wonderful job as our Foundation chair. Now he is facing some challenging times. I hope we will individually send him cards or notes, calls when he can receive them. Let's all keep him and his wife, Barbara, in our prayers.
On another note I would like to thank Kevin for his work as secretary and Alex for taking on the position.
Get ready! BBQ season is upon us. Thank you all for all you do.

For a limited time only, April 1, 2019 through May 15, 2019 on a first come first serve basis, Rotary International District 6290 is offering to match a new gift of $500 to The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund, with 500 recognition points to name a Paul Harris Fellow. (Note: “new” means that the entire $500 contribution must be made within the program dates. Earlier partial donations cannot be counted towards the match.) The CP Foundation Committee will guide us in understanding this process and learning more about Paul Harris, our founder. The RI Annual Fund returns funds to Districts and thereby Clubs through matching grants. This compounds the money needed to accomplish grant applications.
